Products Description
Need a cost-effective, high-efficiency filter bag for your industrial dust collection system?
Guanjiang's Cloth Bag Filter Elements are traditional yet highly efficient filtration solutions widely used in industrial dust collection systems. Made from woven or needle-felt fabric materials (polyester, polypropylene, Nomex, or P84), these filter bags function as the primary filtration medium in baghouse dust collectors. Operating on surface and depth filtration principles, they capture dust particles from gas streams while allowing clean air to pass through — achieving filtration efficiency exceeding 99.9% for particles ranging from sub-micron to larger sizes.
Key Advantages
Captures fine particulate matter with efficiency exceeding 99.9%. Effective for particles from sub-micron to larger sizes — consistent performance across varying dust loads.
Lower initial cost compared to cartridge filters. Durable construction provides long service life. Cost-effective replacement and maintenance.
Polyester / Polypropylene / Nomex / P84 / PTFE — selected based on temperature resistance, chemical compatibility, and efficiency requirements. Special coatings available.
Simple installation and removal processes. Individual bag replacement without system shutdown. Visual inspection capability for condition monitoring.
Polyester: 135°C / Nomex: 200°C / P84: 240°C / PTFE: 260°C — options for high-temperature applications.
PTFE and polypropylene options for acid/alkali resistance. Suitable for corrosive gas streams and chemical processing.
PTFE membrane / Silicone coating / Water-repellent / Oil-repellent finishes for enhanced dust release and extended service life.

Filter Media Selection Guide:
Polyester (135°C): General purpose, good abrasion resistance, economical
Polypropylene (90°C): Excellent chemical resistance (acids/alkalis), hydrolysis resistant
Nomex (200°C): High-temperature applications (asphalt, cement), good abrasion resistance
P84 (240°C): High efficiency for fine dust (incineration, metallurgy), low pressure drop
PTFE (260°C): Maximum chemical resistance, non-stick surface, ideal for aggressive gases
Glass fiber (260°C): High-temperature, chemical resistant, but less abrasion resistant

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is the difference between woven and needle-felt filter bags?
A: Woven fabrics have a regular weave pattern — lower pressure drop but lower efficiency. Needle-felt fabrics are matted with fibers — higher efficiency (surface + depth filtration), better dust cake release, and preferred for most industrial dust collection applications. Our standard recommendation is needle-felt.
Q2: How often should filter bags be replaced?
A: Replacement intervals depend on dust load, operating temperature, and chemical conditions. Typical service life ranges from 6 months to 3 years. Monitor pressure drop across the baghouse — replace when pressure drop remains high after cleaning cycles or when visible damage occurs.
Q3: Can PTFE membrane coating improve performance?
A: Yes. PTFE membrane coating creates a non-stick surface that improves dust release during pulse cleaning, reduces pressure drop, and extends bag life. It also provides higher filtration efficiency (surface filtration) and is recommended for fine, sticky, or hygroscopic dusts.
Q4: What mounting types are available?
A: We offer snap-band (wire ring sewn into bag top), snap-ring (spring steel ring), flange (bolt-on), and custom mounting configurations. Snap-band is most common for pulse-jet baghouses. Please specify your baghouse model when ordering.
Q5: Are these filter bags suitable for high-moisture applications?
A: For high-moisture or wet gas streams, we recommend polypropylene (hydrolysis resistant) or PTFE (water-repellent). Standard polyester can hydrolyze in high-temperature, high-moisture conditions. A water-repellent finish is also available. Please provide your operating conditions for proper material selection.
